Classic British Album Artwork Stamps

Here at Nylvi we’re now seriously considering starting to collect stamps. The reason?
Next year the Royal Mail will celebrate classic British album covers with a set of ten 1st class stamps including Rolling Stones‘ “Let It Bleed“, David Bowie’s “Ziggy Stardust” and “London Calling” by The Clash.
Via Creative Review comes word that picking the final ten covers were not easy, many existing polls of greatest cover art were trawled and various editors and designers were enlisted to pick out the ten most significant British album sleeve artwork made.
The final ten sleeves (seen below) will launch on January 7, 2010 and will be uniquely shaped by Studio Dempsey, to accommodate a vinyl record poking out of each sleeve.
