Basic unit is Yair Etziony (Vermont) and Shlomi Avni (DJ Sola). The two have been pioneers in the Israeli electronic music scene and have joint studio efforts on 2005. Under the Basic Unit Moniker their sound is deep and understated fusion of elements from Detroit techno to German and US-house. Originally released as part of the superbly received ‘Time To Change’ Distant Brother generated club attention from a wide scope of DJs. DJ 3000 to Chris Carrier, Jeff Samuel, Fabrice Lig and Laurent Garnier – were all fans of Pedro’s unique, big house beats with live synths. First up comes dear Fine Art friend, Ran Shani.
