This week’s picks among the latest releases includes the great Daniel Johnston’s newest offering “Is & Always Was” and via Matador comes the latest album “The Sound The Speed The Light” from the legends in Mission Of Burma. Legends are definitely also Jesus Lizard and their albums “Goat”, “Head”, “Liar” and “Down” are all now remastered by Bob Weston and Steve Albini and reissued with extra bonus tracks and liner notes.

“Album” from Girls is getting much love these days, so do Evangelista’s “Prince of Truth” and Why?’s “Eskimo Snow“. Also available are Fuck Buttons’ 7inch picture disc “Surf Solar“, Doug Paisley’s new self-titled album, Castanets’ “Texas Rose Thaw & The Beasts“, “God Is Good” from Om, “Six” from Black Heart Procession and the latest album from The Mountain Goats’ “Life Of The World To Come“.
