This week’s picks among the latest releases includes the reissue of Robert Hood’s seminal 1994 album “Minimal Nation“, via Brooklyn and In the Red Records comes Blank Dogs impressive new album “Under & Under“, from the same place comes also Vivian Girls new 7-inch “Wild Eyes“.
Burial Hex and Zola Jesus have a new split out on Aurora Borealis, while the always fascinating Dengue Fever have recorded their recent visit to Cambodia on “Sleepwalking Through The Mekong“. Falty DL aka Drew Lustman’s new album “Love Is a Liability” mixes electronics, garage and dubstep in a great way, while Emperor Machine continues to make psychedelic electro on their new album “Space Beyond The Egg“, via City Slang we also got the new 12-inch “Watussi” from Cortney Tidwell and Mark Pritchard aka Harmonic 313 continues to impress with his new 12-inch “Battlestar“.
Out on 7-inch we got Vibes mixing funk and wild punk on the four song long “Psychic” and Dimlite ends the great All City 7×7 series with his “Quizy Tears“. Vinyl reissue of the week is Red House Painters and their “Songs For a Blue Guitar“.
